A popular Palm Bay skate park has closed after the owner was unable to renew its liability insurance.

  • Graffiti Skate Zone in Palm Bay has closed
  • Owner was unable to renew liability insurance
  • Skate park has operated for the past 10 years

Graffiti Skate Zone, located behind Tony Rosa Community Center on Port Malabar Road, had been in operation for the past 10 years.

The city partnered with the owners by providing leased recreational space, staff, and using donated materials for skate ramps.  However, when owners notified the city of the insurance issue, officials decided to close the park for safety reasons.

Officials are communicating with the insurance company and working toward a resolution, but other options are being explored to reopen the park.
