Here's Central Florida's weather forecast for the upcoming weekend:

Strong storms Thursday afternoon spawned a water spout and possibly a microburst, which caused damaged in Edgewater.

Homeowner Richard Guy said some of the branches of a tree went through his roof, also causing water damage.

Most of us will be dry overnight with only a slight chance for an isolated shower. Clouds will continue to slowly break apart as our temperatures fall into the lower 70s.

Showers and storms will build again Friday afternoon with highs getting back into the upper 80s.

Our atmosphere continues to be fed moisture due to a southwest flow caused by a strong low pressure dropping into the Mid-Atlantic. A cold front we have been tracking for a couple of days continues to push into the southern states and might even reach the panhandle before becoming stationary.

Much dryer air is diving in behind the front, but since it will stall and retreat north soon, we will continue to have a 50 percent chance for afternoon and evening storms through the weekend. Lows with be in the lower 70s and highs in the upper 80s.

Matthew continues to organize as the hurricane moves west through the Caribbean. A sprawling dome of  Atlantic high pressure is currently steering the storm’s direction and if this continues, a turn to the north is likely by Saturday. Beyond 48 hours, the path becomes far less certain.

Stay tuned for updates on Matthew online or at :51 past the hour on News 13.

Wave heights will be around 1 to 2 feet Friday. The surf forecast is poor with a small easterly swell in the mix. Rip current threat remains moderate and water temperatures are running near 81 in Daytona Beach and near 85 in Cocoa Beach.
