The mayor of Kissimmee said the commission is not sure what to do after Sara Shaw is accused of living in a dead woman's house.

Shaw, Kissimmee mayor pro tem, and her boyfriend Peter Sendtko were charged Tuesday with living in the home of a dead person, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) press release.

Shaw's term is up in weeks, but on Wednesday Kissimmee Mayor Jim Swan said right now they are waiting to hear if the governor's office will get involved in demanding her resignation.

"It may be that the governor needs to remove her from office. It may be that our commission discusses it and decides to let it alone because she's leaving anyways or to take action ourselves," Swan said.

The FDLE received information from the Kissimmee Police Department in August 2015, about Shaw, a Democrat, and Sendtko allegedly living at the home of Carol Woosley, who died in October of 2011, the release and investigative summary stated.

The two were booked into the Osceola County Jail, with Shaw on $3,500 bond and Sendtko on $6,000 bond.
