An investigation is underway after a man reportedly robbed a Daytona Beach-area 7-Eleven with a wooden club early Wednesday morning, deputies said.

Volusia County deputies responded at 5:07 a.m. to the convenience store at 1200 Flomich St. An employee said he was standing by a cooler near the register when the suspect walked into the store holding a club. The suspect grabbed the employee by the collar and walked him back to the counter, where he ordered him to open the cash register, deputies said.

No one was injured.

Deputies said the suspect was described to be about 6 feet tall and weighing 150-180 pounds, wearing a camouflage zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a built-in mask that covered his face. He was wearing gray pants and black-and-white Puma shoes.
