Kissimmee Mayor Pro Tem Sara Shaw and her boyfriend Peter Sendtko were charged Tuesday with living in the home of a dead person, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) press release.

  • Sara Shaw, Peter Sendtko accused of using deceased’s bank account to pay for house utilities
  • Sendtko allegedly sold deceased woman’s car to his mother

The FDLE received information from the Kissimmee Police Department in August 2015, about Shaw, a Democrat, and Sendtko allegedly living at the home of Carol Woosley, who died in October of 2011, the release and investigative summary stated.

“In April 2014, the couple moved into the residence without permission and filed an adverse possession without color of title with Osceola County Property Appraisers in an attempt to establish ownership of Woosley’s residence,” FDLE mentioned in the press release.

Allegedly, utility payments for the house on 1568 Mill Slough Rd., Kissimmee, were automatically withdrawn from Woosley’s bank account, FDLE stated.

“From May 2014 to September 2015, a little over $4,600 was paid to Kissimmee utilities (Kissimmee Utility Authority) using the decedent’s bank account,” the press release mentioned.

The investigative summary stated that Sendtko allegedly sold Woosley’s 1997 Pontiac to his mother, who lives in Michigan, on Oct. 25, 2014, but the press release added the car was sold for $500.

The majority of Shaw’s and Sendtko’s civilian interviews in the investigative summary were redacted.

Shaw and Sendtko were charged with fraudulent use of a deceased’s personal identification number and grand theft. Sendtko was additionally charged with dealing in stolen property.

The two were booked into the Osceola County Jail, with Shaw on $3,500 bond and Sendtko on $6,000 bond.

The Osceola County Corrections told News 13 that the two are out on bond.
