Here's the weather forecast in Central Florida for Wednesday:

An isolated shower may linger near midnight otherwise, we will be under a mostly cloudy sky with clouds breaking a bit by sunrise Wednesday.  Temperatures are expected to dip to near 70, then climb back close to 90 Wednesday afternoon.

The chance for afternoon and evening west to east moving storms is at 40 percent.

An upper level low that helped our shower and storm formation Monday has moved on to our northeast keeping us in a west to southwest flow with abundant atmospheric moisture for another day or two.

Temperatures will be close to normal with highs around 90 and lows near 70. Our chance for afternoon shower and storms to form is between 40 and 50 percent Wednesday and Thursday.

A cold front will find its way dropping south into the state Friday. Although the front will be slowing down and stalling somewhere across Central Florida, some dry air is anticipated to invade dropping our chance for rain for a short time.

At the moment, our chance for rain on Friday stands at 30 percent.

We are tracking Invest 97 closing in on the eastern Caribbean. We are expecting this wave to become a tropical depression within the next 24 hours and possibly a tropical storm soon after. Once a tropical storm, it will get the name Matthew as we track it through the Caribbean moving west.

Conditions for surfers continue to be poor to fair Wednesday with wave heights near two to three feet.  The rip current threat still moderate.  Water temperatures range from 82 to 85.
