Here's a look at the Central Florida weather forecast for the upcoming weekend:

Overnight will become partly cloudy with temperatures dropping into the middle 70s.  Friday, the first full day of Fall, will be hot with high temperatures reaching the lower 90s and heat indices in the middle to upper 90s. The chance for afternoon showers and storms is 30 percent.

Mid-level dry air is being ushered into the state by the upper level circulation left over from Julia positioned along the South Carolina coast.

Shower and storm chance is lower as a result with only a 30 percent chance Friday and a 40 percent chance Saturday.  Our normal high temperature is 89 and we should top out a few degrees above Friday afternoon, then highs well be closer to normal this weekend.

Our chance for rain will be increasing again late into the weekend.

We continue to track 2 tropical storms in the Atlantic, Karl and Lisa.  Neither one of these storms will have a direct impact on our weather with one exception.  Long period swells are anticipated this weekend from Karl.  No other formation is anticipated over the next few days.

Surf conditions are getting better as wave heights increase to around 2 to 3 feet.  Rip current threat is moderate Friday with water temperatures in the lower 80s.
