Karl has been downgraded to a tropical depression. An upper level low nearby Karl has weakened it considerably.
The storm is poorly organized, according to the latest reports from hurricane hunter aircraft. Slow strengthening is possible over the next few days. It has a chance to regenerate into a tropical storm out in the open Atlantic as it curves north and then northeast away from the U.S.
The only impact here in Central Florida may be just a brief uptick in the riptide risk late Friday and early Saturday.
Tropical Storm Lisa is still over in the eastern Atlantic. It has winds of 45 mph and is moving northwest. Lisa moving north-northwestward near 7 mph and is expected to move northwest in the next couple of days.
It may strengthen a bit, but it's expected to enter a hostile wind field and dissipate quickly by the weekend. It will have no impact at all on Central Florida.
