Here's a look at the weather forecast for Wednesday in Central Florida:

Overnight should remain mostly quiet under breaking clouds and temperature falling into the middle 70s by our 7:13 a.m. Wednesday sunrise.  We will warm quickly into the 80s through the morning, topping out in the low 90s by early afternoon.

There is a 50 percent chance for afternoon showers and storm to form, some with locally heavy rain and frequent lightning.

The circulation from Julia continues to swirl along the Outer Banks of North Carolina, moving little due to lack of large scale steering currents. Atmospheric moisture has continued to be abundant across Florida due to the west to southwest flow created from Julia leading to higher shower and storm chances that will carry into Wednesday.

Later this week, Julia’s leftover circulation will usher in some mid-level dry air, decreasing our chance for rain a bit as we go into the weekend.

We will still have our typical 30 to 40 percent chance for afternoon showers and storms for the first few days of Fall. Temperatures are going to be near 90 for highs and near 75 for lows for the rest of our week along with the first Fall weekend.

We have our eyes on Tropical Storms Karl and Lisa, but neither storm will directly impact Central Florida.

Conditions will be poor for surfers Wednesday as wave heights are expected to be only about 1 to 2 feet. Rip current threat is low to moderate and may increase to high by the weekend due to swell created from Tropical Storm Karl. UV index is not as extreme and will be 9 on a scale from 1 to 12.
