One man is dead and another man is fighting for his life after a shooting and stabbing in Marion County.

The shooting happened at about 1 p.m. Saturday at a home on the 17000 block of Northeast 18th Avenue. The Marion County Sheriff's Office said 22-year-old Devin Barron was found shot outside the home.
Barron was transported to ORMC, where he was pronounced dead.
Deputies said Barron got into a verbal and physical altercation with the homeowner, who shot him. The homeowner was taken to the hospital with a head injury.
No charges have been filed as detectives continue to investigate.
As deputies investigated the shooting, an apparent victim of a stabbing nearby was dropped off at an area hospital. The victim, Richard Roundtree, reportedly sustained life-threatening injuries.
Investigators at this time believe the two crimes -- the shooting and the stabbing -- are unrelated. However, they said the two crimes may have involved some of the same people.
No further information has been released. The investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
