Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for late Sunday heading into the work week. For a tropical update, see our Weather Experts' latest on Tropical Depression Nine and Gaston.

  • Temps in mid to upper 70s tonight
  • Mostly cloudy skies through overnight hours
  • Higher rain chances

It was a hot and humid end to our weekend, with only a few passing showers. Higher rain chances will start out the work week and stick around for several days. Low pressure to our south will keep Central Florida weather pretty unsettled for a good portion of the week. Temperatures will stay warm, around 90 degrees with higher humidity.

Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast through the overnight hours with temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will be lighter, but will still push a few showers inland as we head toward daybreak on Monday.

Tropical Depression Nine will slowly move out of the Florida Straits and into the Gulf of Mexico over the next couple of days. This area of low pressure will keep winds breezy Monday with higher rain chances.

Unsettled weather will continue for much of the week as the low hangs out to our west. By the end of the week, the low is expected to move northeast over Florida. This means high rain chances stick around with gusty wind possible.

We also have Tropical Depression Eight, currently near Bermuda. This system may intensify into a tropical storm as it approaches North Carolina, but is expected to be pushed quickly back out into the Atlantic.

Gaston is still a hurricane well off to our east where it will stay and not impact the United States.
