Let's see what Central Florida's forecast looks like for Friday:
- There's a 40 percent chance of rain for Friday
- It will be in the low 90s
- We're tracking Gaston and Invest 99 activity in the tropics
Isolated light coastal showers will be possible overnight under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures will be falling into the middle 70s then back up to the low 90s Friday afternoon. Chance for rain is on the way up next week, almost entirely dependent on what happens to Invest 99 approaching the Bahamas.

High pressure to our north continues to provide us with a northeast wind pushing a few isolated showers inland along our eastern shores overnight. Friday temperatures will start off in the middle 70s, then warm back into the lower 90s for afternoon highs.
We continue to have a 40 percent chance for showers and storms through Saturday, then increasing Sunday into early next week depending on what happens to tropical wave invest 90.
Still no closed off circulation with Invest 99 at this time, so there is a great amount of uncertainty as to where it might go, and if it will even hold together. If Invest 99 continues on present course, showers and storm chances could greatly increase Sunday into Monday.
Tropical storm Gaston is about 2000 miles to our east and will not come near Florida for us to be concerned.

Surfing conditions are expected to be poor Friday with wave heights building around 2 to 4 feet as the onshore flow continues. Rip current threat remains moderate with our UV index back up to extreme. Invest 99 could help build more waves late into the weekend.
