Here's what the weather forecast looks like for Central Florida for the rest of the workweek:

Isolated light coastal showers will be possible overnight under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures will be falling into the middle 70s then back up to the low 90s Thursday afternoon.

Chance for rain is on the way up next week, almost entirely dependent on what happens to Invest 99 approaching the Bahamas.

High temperatures have come down some 5 to 8 degrees and we plan to maintain highs close to our normal high of 91 going into the weekend.

A northeast flow will continue, and with this, isolated coastal showers will be possible overnight with a 40 percent chance for showers and storms everywhere Thursday afternoon.

We are still tracking Gaston which is over 2,500 miles to our east as well as Invest 99 to the north of Puerto Rico.  No low level circulation with Invest 99 at this time, so there is still a lot of uncertainty as to where it might go, and if it will even hold together.

If Invest 99 continues on present course, showers and storm chances could greatly increase Sunday into Monday. Gaston will not come near us for concern at this time.

Surfing conditions are improving  Thursday with wave heights building around 2 to 4 feet as the onshore flow continues.  Rip current threat remains moderate with our UV index back up to extreme.  Invest 99 could help build more waves late into the weekend.
