Three people have been arrested and charged in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in the B-section of Palm Coast, deputies said.

A third male, a 17-year-old, was also arrested on charges of 20 counts of burglary and one count of grand theft. These charges were in relation to vehicle burglaries that occurred last week in the B-section of Palm Coast, deputies said. Additional charges are also pending.

News 13 is not naming the 17-year-old suspect per the company's Crime Guidelines.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office received a call around 5:32 a.m. Sunday from a person who lives on Bayside Drive in Palm Coast stating he had just seen what he believed to be male trying to break into his vehicle, according to a news release.

Deputies responded to the area and, with assistance of the Sheriff’s Office's K-9 team, two adults were arrested. Additional investigation led deputies to a home in Palm Coast, where they arrested the 17 year old.

"This is just another excellent example of the community and the (Flagler County Sheriff's Office) working together to combat crime," Flagler County Sheriff Jim Manfre said in a statement. "Although I am very happy we were able to arrest those responsible, I still cannot stress enough the importance of locking your vehicles."

All 11 burglaries that happened Sunday morning were from unlocked vehicles, deputies said.
