A News 13 story published Tuesday, Aug. 16 about Seminole County Tax Collector Ray Valdes reported that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement was investigating him.
In fact, the FDLE said it was “reviewing a complaint” regarding Valdes and said it had not opened a formal investigation. On Thursday, Aug. 18, the FDLE said it closed its review and decided not to move forward with the investigation.
