Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday:

  • More umbrella days on the way
  • Storms moving west with sea breeze flow

Clouds will continue to erode overnight with only an isolated shower possible. By sunrise Wednesday, temperatures should be in the middle 70s, and it should feel muggy. Some patchy fog might be around briefly until the sun starts to warm us into the 80s by 9 a.m. Afternoon showers and storms will be forming in the east flow, moving west throughout the afternoon with temperatures topping in the low 90s.

High pressure building to our north and northeast continues our wind flow from the east for the next few days. As temperatures climb each day into the lower 90s, showers and storms forming will push east to west across the peninsula with isolated heavy rain and frequent lightning possible into the early evening hours. The chance for rain remains between 40 to 50 percent with lower chances along our immediate eastern shores.

The UV index is up to extreme again, so it only takes a few minutes to burn. Be sure to apply sunscreen often. Surf conditions will be poor to fair, with wave heights between 1 to 2 feet. The rip current threat is moderate, with water temperatures running in the mid to low 70s.

Tropical Depression 6 has formed in the eastern Atlantic. It will move northwest over the next few days. It will likely become Tropical Storm Fiona. It is expected to stay in the middle of the Atlantic.
