Remember how dry it was in most locations in July? It was also record breaking for its heat! Check out these stats:

Orlando had its warmest July on record with an average high of 85 degrees. The streak of 90-plus degree days ended on Aug. 9 at 47 days.

Daytona Beach also had its warmest July on record with an average temperature of 84.1 degrees. It had its second driest July on record also. As of Aug. 10, the 90-plus degree streak continued at 44 days. That breaks the record.

Melbourne had its warmest July ever with an average temperature of 84.5 degrees. It had the second driest July on record. As of Aug. 10, the 90-plus degree streak continued at 48 days.  That is the new record since 47 days straight in 1999.

So we are breaking lots of records lately. Let’s hope that won’t include the rest of our hurricane season! Stay tuned!
