Last Friday WikiLeaks released Democratic National Convention’s emails about Sen. Bernie Sanders and it had a big impact in Philadelphia earlier this week.

And it left another big impact on this news station’s viewers when they answered the poll “What do you think of the DNC apologizing to Bernie Sanders over the leaked email scandal?”

The majority of people who took the poll felt the Vermont U.S. senator was not treated fairly. The emails released showed that the DNC was favoring the recently christen Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton while it disparaged Sanders.

The political drama shook up the DNC so much that its chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, stepped down from her position. And Sanders supporters booed her when she tried to give a speech at the convention this past Monday.

However, the Florida U.S. congresswoman landed a new position in Clinton’s campaign and the DNC has since apologized to Sanders. Yet that apology left his supporters unaffected, as many were protesting the convention in various ways.

But viewers took the unscientific poll to express how they felt about the whole affair.

The majority of people voted 69 percent (or 1,202 votes) for the category, “It's a little too late and the damage is done.”

The second highest answer received 16 percent votes, with 285 people voting for, “It was a sincere apology to bring the party together.”

And 253 people selected the last answer, “I’m not sure what to think.” or 15 percent of the vote.
