The Orlando Utilities Commission said Thursday that a new record peak for energy use was established.

  • Spokesman said record usage will be reflected in bills
  • Previous record set in June 2015

It happened at 4:33 p.m., according to company spokesman Tim Trudell. A total of 1,221 megawatts was being used.

That beat the old record set in June 2015 of 1,206 megawatts.

The company is 93 years old.

Trudell said the record usage would be refelected in upcoming bills.
