Let's see what Tuesday looks like for Central Florida:

  • Low to mid 90s
  • Chance of showers, storms
  • Poor surf conditions for the beach

Today’s temperatures will reach the mid 90s with heat indices reaching into the upper 90s and possibly low 100s in some areas. This evening those scattered showers and storms will simmer down as we near sunset. Temperatures will cool off into the mid to upper 70s overnight with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Tomorrow morning we will start out warm with temperatures in the low 80s and partly sunny skies.

Poor surf conditions are expected with wave heights around 1 to 2 feet. There is a low risk of rip currents but it is always safe to swim near the lifeguards when heading out to the beaches. Boating conditions for tomorrow look favorable with wave heights around 2-3 feet a SE wind 5-10 knots and the slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm in the late afternoon.

Throughout the week ahead, we have drier air moving in which will help keep our rain chances low and skies partly sunny with a mix of clouds. There will still be the possibility of isolated showers and storms in the afternoon but coverage will be spotty. Those that do get rain could see heavy downpours, gusty winds, and lightning.

For the tropics; the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean, and Atlantic are quiet with no tropical formation expected over the next several days.
