The Orlando City Soccer Club is opening a soccer-themed pub in downtown Orlando, the team confirmed Friday.

  • Lion's Pride will be located on Church Street
  • It will feature 50 televisions and traditional sports grille fare
  • The pub is set to open this fall

Lion's Pride Soccer Pub & Grill will be located at 123 West Church Street, which is just a short walk from the team’s new stadium. The stadium is expected to be completed in 2017.

The pub's exteriors and some interiors elements will keep Church Street's classic 1920s features, but it will also embrace modern elements such as graffiti walls from local artists.

It will feature more than 50 televisions showing men’s and women’s soccer matches from around the world, all year round, according to a press release.  “This is a great addition to our city. It will be a place where soccer lovers can come together with like-minded people and enjoy the great game,” said Club Founder and President Phil Rawlins.

Orlando City Soccer says that the pub will offer traditional sports grille fare, but will also have a flex menu on game days that reflect the Lions’ current opponent.

“When City is playing Kansas City, for example, we’ll have a barbecue special that evening,” Lion’s Pride co-owner Gustavo Fonseca said. “This is just another way for City fans to show their support for the Club—to, quite literally, devour the competition.”

Officials say renderings will be made available next month.

Lion’s Pride is scheduled to open this fall.
