A woman was killed after she was hit by a train in Volusia County Friday night, Edgewater police said.

The incident happened at about 11:14 p.m. at the railroad tracks in the area of West Ocean Avenue.
According to police, a woman walked out from a wooded area and stood on the tracks as the train approached. She died at the scene.
Edgewater police at FEC police are investigating the death.
The woman has not been identified, but police say they don’t believe she is the missing teen from Edgewater.
No additional information has been released.
