Let's see what the weekend forecast looks like for Central Florida:

  • Staying hot and humid
  • A few afternoon showers and storms

Drier air moved into Central Florida on Saturday, which lowered rain chances for the start of the weekend.

We still had showers and storms develop late in the day as the east and west coast sea breeze collided. Temperatures before the rain were able to climb into the mid to low 90s.

Humidity was not as bad as previous days and heat index numbers only made it into the mid to upper 90s.

Any storms that develop will wind down around sunset. Clouds will decrease through the overnight hours, making the start of our Sunday pretty sunny. Temperatures will fall into the mid to upper 70s.

Low rain chances stick around for the end of the weekend. Only a 30% chance for afternoon showers and storms. Expect mostly sunny skies and high temperatures around 90 degrees. Moisture moves back in on Monday, increasing rain chances for the start of the work week. Higher rain chances will stick around through mid-week. No change in temperatures.

In the tropics, no tropical development is expected in the next five days.
