Wikileaks released thousands of emails Friday from the Democratic Party, the first in a promised-four-part series that will focus on Hillary Clinton.

  • Wikileaks releases thousands of emails from the Democratic Party
  • Some emails show party's frustration with the Sanders campaign
  • More emails coming throughout the summer

The 19,252 emails and more than 8,000 attachments give an inside look into communications at the party that could prove embarrassing for Clinton and Democrats going into the national convention next week in Philadelphia.

Wikileaks said some of the emails imply growing frustration by the party for Sanders' campaign, and the bitterness between the Sanders campaign and the party.

In one email, Democratic National Committee chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz refers to Sanders' campaign manager as a "damn liar" with regards to a controversial state party meeting in Nevada. At one point a party operative even questions Sanders' faith.

The full database can be found on the Wikileaks website.

The emails seem to be tied to a security incident at the DNC earlier this year by Russian Hackers.

Wikileaks promises more emails throughout the summer.
