Here's the Central Florida weather forecast for Thursday night into Friday:

  • Drier weekend air
  • Isolated showers ending

A big area of high pressure over the central U.S. shifts east this weekend, bringing a round of drier air into the mid and upper levels of the atmosphere. As our wind turns more out of the northeast, our chance for showers and storms drops to around 30 percent through the weekend.

High temperatures will remain above normal with most topping out between 92 and 95 both Saturday and Sunday. Moisture will be increasing early next week due to the wind turning back out of the southeast.

As this happens, our chance for showers and storms will be increasing, bringing our chances up between 40 and 50 percent.  No tropical formation is expected through the next 5 days.
