Democrats are promising their convention next week in Philadelphia will be much different that the Republicans’ in Cleveland.

This week at the RNC, speaker after speaker has gone after presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

“Hillary Clinton cares more about her own secrets than she cared about protecting America’s secrets,” said Gov. Chris Christie of New Jersey.

Democrats are ready for their rebuttal.

Florida congresswoman and chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee Debbie Wasserman Schultz says Republicans have spent more time talking about Clinton than their own nominee.

“Unlike the Republican convention, where they are spewing venom, hatred and divisiveness and only talking about the person they’re running against, rather than the person that they nominated for president, next week you’ll see speaker after speaker extol the virtues of our nominee, Hillary Clinton,” Wasserman Schultz said.

The congresswoman was joined by other Democrats on Wednesday in Cleveland, promising their convention will offer more details on policy proposals and play up the achievements of President Barack Obama’s term and the positive contributions Clinton made as secretary of state.

“What you’re hearing on the convention floor, that’s not America. You’ll hear much more about what America is and what America looks like next week in Philadelphia,” said Rep. Xavier Becerra, House Democratic Caucus chairman.

After their convention, Democrats say their attention will be on Florida to win in November.

"As Florida goes, so goes the nation,” Wasserman Schultz said. “We are going to see I think a visit from the secretary and many high profile surrogates all the way through the campaign.”

Clinton will be in Florida on Friday, where she’s expected to announce her pick for vice president.
