Boil water notice issued for Groveland neighborhood

A boil water notice is in effect for residents in the Waterside Pointe neighborhood, Groveland city officials said.

Water and reclaim mains servicing the area were struck by lightning during Friday night’s storms.  The breaks happened on Lake Tarpon Way and White Water Bay, but have since been repaired.

The boil water notice will remain in effect for the next two to three days.

However, city officials say bacterial samples need to be taken before the boil water notice can be lifted.
