An abandoned mobile home was engulfed in flames in Belleview on Thursday night.

Marion County Fire Rescue arrived at 10380 SE 127th Lane at around 8:49 p.m. to find an abandoned mobile home fully immersed in fire as sparks from fallen power wires hampered firefighters’ efforts to put the fire out, according to the fire company.
But by 9:04 p.m., the fire was under control, the fire company stated.
The power company could not cut the power to the downed lines because it was too busy dealing with “severe power outages” throughout the county, Marion County Fire Rescue stated.
The Florida State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
