A Clermont man was charged with DUI manslaughter Thursday in connection with a crash last month that left a woman dead.

Bryan Barnash was booked into Lake County Jail on $30,000 bond.

According to Lady Lake Police:

At about 9:16 p.m. May 14, a 2014 Harley-Davidson tricycle traveling east on County Road 466 rear-ended a 2016 Dodge Dart stopped at a red light at the intersection of Rolling Acres Road.

Barnash, who was driving the Harley, and his passenger, Diane Lanthier, also of Clermont, were thrown from the tricycle. Neither were wearing helmets. Barnash was taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Four days later, Lanthier died from her injuries.

The driver of the Dart was not hurt, and the passenger was treated at a hospital and released.

Blood tests showed that Barnash's blood alcohol level was almost twice the legal limit at the time of the crash, Lady Lake Police say.
