Florida Highway Patrol has reopened Interstate 95 in both directions in Volusia County, where a 15-acre brush fire forced the highway to close Monday afternoon.

The interstate was closed from Dunlawton Avenue to Interstate 4, near Port Orange.

Southbound interstate traffic was diverted off the roadway at mile marker 260, and northbound traffic was diverted off at mile marker 256.

FHP says drivers need to use caution in the area. Troopers will continue to monitor the highway for smoke or fire issues throughout the night.
