One of the 49 victims of the Pulse nightclub shooting will be laid to rest in Lake County on Saturday.

  • Stanley Almodovar was from Clermont and worked as a pharmacy technician
  • He would have been 24 years old later this month

Stanley Almodovar, 23, graduated from East Ridge High School in Clermont and was a pharmacy technician.

His younger sister says they share a birthday and he was like her twin. He would have been 24 years old next Saturday.

"I'm trying not to cry and feel better, but I never thought something like this would happen to him," said Natalie Santiago.

His younger brother, Jordan Casiano, says Stanley invited him out on Saturday to celebrate. It was Casiano's birthday and it's now also the anniversary of his brother's death.

"His thing was having fun, partying, he didn't like to listen to negativity," said Casiano.

Stanley's mom says he was shot three times.

"He liked to cook, the last meal I ate from him was a hamburger," said Rosalia Ramos.

The city of Clermont is offering a burial plot to the family at Oak Hill Cemetery.
