Florida Fish and Wildlife has announced four options it’s considering for future bear hunts.

The options being considered:

Option 1: Have a bear hunt similar to the one held last year with hunters allowed to continuing hunting until a pre-set number of bears are killed.

Option 2: Have a more conservative hunt with FWC getting feedback from the public before moving forward with any plans.

Option 3: Postpone bear hunting until 2017.

Option 4: Completely prohibit bear hunting for the foreseeable future.

The news comes as state wildlife officials say they are monitoring one Seminole County neighborhood.

Florida Fish and Wildlife will consider the four options during a meeting on June 22.
