More than 500 active duty military personnel and veterans have traveled from around the world to compete in Central Florida.

The games are being held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World from May 8 to 12.

Teams from 14 nations have traveled to Florida for the only international adaptive sporting event for wounded, ill and injured military servicemen and women.

They’ll compete in 10 sports: archery, cycling, track and field, indoor rowing, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair tennis, wheelchair rugby, sitting volleyball, swimming and powerlifting.

Prince Harry started the Invictus Games in London back in 2014.

This is the first time the games have come to America.

Competitors will be in a parade Friday afternoon at the Magic Kingdom.

The opening ceremony kicks off the games Sunday evening at the ESPN Wide World of Sports with Prince Harry and First Lady Michelle Obama.
