Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for Tuesday:

  • Hot temperatures, afternoon storms stick around for Tuesday
  • Highs in the low 90s inland, upper 80s along the beaches

We had a hot Memorial Day with high temperatures around 90 degrees. There were a few strong storms that developed during the afternoon and evening hours, very similar to what we’ve seen over the past few days. Not much will change this week with hot temperatures and afternoon storms sticking around.

Lingering storms will be possible early tonight, then partly cloudy as we head toward daybreak on Tuesday. Temperatures will be similar to the past few nights, only dropping to around 70 degrees. With light winds during the morning hours, some patchy fog will be possible.

No major weather changes expected for the next several days. We’ll keep highs in the low 90s through the weekend with afternoon storms possible.

In the tropics, Bonnie continues to weaken and is now a post-tropical low. This system will sit over South Carolina for the rest of Monday and then start moving northeast back out into the Atlantic. Still no impacts for Florida. Hurricane season officially begins June 1st.
