A death investigation is underway in Orlando after a woman was found dead inside a home early Monday morning.

A 911 call came in around 3:47 a.m. regarding a burglary to a residence on Orange Peel Court.

Law enforcement responded to the scene. They entered the home and took a suspect into custody.

Authorities conducted a well-being check of the home and found the victim, identified as 67-year-old Linda Jones, of an apparent homicide.

Orange County deputies and Orlando Police officers had been tracking the suspect, identified as Jason Rohrer, around 3:10 a.m. in the area of 1300 S. Bumby Ave on suspicion of vehicle burglary.

Rohrer, 40, is currently being held on Orange County Sheriff's Office charges in the initial vehicle burglary.

Orlando Police detectives will be adding charges to include attempted occupied residential burglary, occupied residential burglary, and charges related to the homicide.
