15 arrested in Volusia prescription pill ring bust

Following a six month investigation, police in Volusia County on Tuesday busted a prescription pill ring that investigators say was moving thousands of pills a month.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said the multi-agency Volusia Bureau of Investigation (VBI) conducted a series of early-morning raids Tuesday that netted 15 arrests with more to come.

Investigators say the group was believed to have been moving between 4,000-5,000 pills a month operating predominantly in the DeLand area.

The VBI investigation was launched in early November after tips and cooperation from street sources.

The 15 people arrested Tuesday are as follows:

• Dawn Marie Barton, 32, of DeBary charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Robert James Belling, Jr., 58, of St. Augustine, charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Christopher Francis Ciullo, 30, of Deltona charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Ginger Morris Garren, 50, of DeLand charged with conspiracy to deliver Hydromorphone, possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Tyrone Henderson, 37, of Sanford. charged with cconspiracy to traffic in oxycodone, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Shaunna Lynn Jones, 38, of Casselberry. charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Travis Michael Lodato, 25, of Palm Coast charged with purchase of Oxycodone, solicitation to deliver Hydromorphone, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Cassandra Jeanelle Marcus, 23, of Pierson charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Precious Ross, 29, of DeLand charged with conspiracy to traffic in Oxycodone, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Robert Clyde Thomas, 50, of DeLand charged with conspiracy to traffic in Oxycodone, conspiracy to deliver Hydromorphone, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Kayla Rayne Vermillion, 26, of DeLand. charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Stanley Michael Vermillion, 52, of DeLand charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Shane Leary Wahl, 31, of DeLand charged with conspiracy to deliver Hydromorphone, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Robert John Zammit III, 23, of Bunnell. charged with conspiracy to traffic in Oxycodone, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
  
• Fredrick Roy McDaniel III, 27, charged with possession of Oxycodone with intent to sell or deliver, use of a 2-way communication device to commit a felony.
