Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for Friday night and into the Memorial Day weekend:

  • Tropical depression to have indirect impacts on Florida
  • Have plan B ready

An isolated coastal shower will remain possible overnight under a partly to mostly clear sky.

It will be a bit more humid tonight compared to last night with our temperatures only dipping to near 70 on Saturday morning.

Saturday will warm up close to 90 degrees in the afternoon and we will bump up rain chances up to around 30 percent.

Invest 91 has been upgraded to a tropical depression and could become our second named storm of the season Saturday morning.

If it does become tropical storm, it would be named Bonnie. We're still forecasting this storm to turn northwest and make a beeline toward the South Carolina coastline over the holiday weekend.

Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect for the entire South Caroline coast. Indirect impacts will be felt at our beaches and in scattered storm chances each day. As a matter of fact, our forecast looks more like a wet season seven-day with 30 percent to 40 percent rain and rumble chances every day and highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.

Don't cancel your outdoor plans, but have a Plan B ready to take cover if a storm should kick up over your neighborhood.

Heads up, beachgoers: This weekend could be dangerous up and down Florida's east coast. Low pressure to our easy is set to bring a long-shore flow, high rip current threat, high/rough surf and high seas offshore, as well.

Only experienced swimmers may want to brave the waters to surf.
