Albert Tyson, a truck driver for the last 44 years, said he plays the lottery in every state he drives through — from Florida to California.

"I've been playing LUCKY MONEY in Florida since it started," he said.

Well, it finally paid off. Literally.

Tyson, of Orlando, claimed the $650,000 LUCKY MONEY jackpot from the May 17, 2016, drawing at Florida Lottery's headquarters in Tallahassee.

Tyson chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum payment of $505,163.10. He purchased his winning LUCKY MONEY Quick Pick ticket from a Pilot Travel Center in Fort Myers, lottery officials said.

Total ticket sales for this LUCKY MONEY jackpot generated more than $785,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund, Florida Lottery officials said.
