The students were on a trip visiting theme parks in the Orlando area. Shortly after leaving the parks the air conditioning on one of the three charter buses stopped working.

Sometime around 7 p.m., the bus pulled over near U.S. Highway 27 and State Road 19 after five of the students became unresponsive, authorities said.

Lake County Fire Rescue and Groveland Fire Department responded to the call and found the students in immediate medical attention.

They were taken to South Lake Hospital and treated for heat exhaustion.
