Alimentos Congelados, S.A. has issued a voluntary recall of its frozen broccoli cuts due to possible listeria contamination.

It affects 16-ounce packages of the Wylwood brand broccoli cuts with UPC number 5193300110 and bag codes A25335P and A15335P.

About 1,800 cases of the product have been recalled. They were distributed to stores in 11 states including Florida.

Listeria infection can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children, elderly people and those with weakened immune systems.

So far no illnesses have reported, the company said.

Anyone with the product is urged to throw it away.
