Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for the week ahead:

  • Colder temperatures through Thursday
  • Temperatures warm back up by Friday
  • Sunny, dry days through next Monday

A brisk wind combined with cold temperatures overnight will create wind chill readings in the upper 20s to lower 30s. For this reason, a wind chill advisory is in effect early Wednesday morning.  Freezing temps are possible in Marion and Flagler counties.

Clouds are expected to clear overnight, and lows are set to tumble. We will be waking up with 30s and a few low 40s Wednesday morning. Combine temps with a brisk wind, and wind chill readings will be an issue for the kids at the bus stop. A wind chill advisory will go into effect at 4 am, as the feels like temperature drops into the upper 20s to low 30s. We also have freeze warnings up for Flagler and Marion county with 2 to 3 hours at or below freezing toward sunrise. We’re stuck in the 50s with a blustery wind once again Wednesday, with a frost and freeze expected area-wide very early Thursday. Highs are forecast to slowly climb into the lower 60s Thursday, then back to around 70 Friday and Saturday. We’re also looking at dry conditions until next Monday when a few isolated showers may develop.

Poor to fair surf conditions for Wednesday with wave heights around 2 to 3 feet and a lingering northeast swell. Winds may gust high enough to keep the rip threat elevated.
