An Ocala man is dead after police say he was shot at a nightclub early Thursday morning.
The Ocala Police Department says at 12:30 a.m., officers were called to the Platforms nightclub located at 2913 NE Jacksonville Road, for the report of a shooting.
Officers said when they arrived they found a man, later identified as 26-year-old Jairah McCloud Raines, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
Police said Raines was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
