United Launch Alliance says thick cloud cover could be a problem for the launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, but so far, the probability of unfavorable weather is 20 percent.
The Delta IV rocket is carrying the WGS-8 satellite for the U.S. Air Force. WGS-8 is a global communications satellite.
Wednesday's launch window opens at 6:53 p.m. and closes at 7:42 p.m. The rocket will launch from Space Launch Complex 37.
