A death investigation is underway after a man was shot to death in Orange County, according to the sheriff’s office.

At 3:32 a.m., deputies responded to the area near Old Winter Garden Road and Mission Road after receiving reports of shot fired.

A man between 20 and 30 years of age was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound.  He died at the scene.

The victim's father said his son was attending a party with a friend when he was shot.

There are two crime scenes in the area. The first is a crash that occurred on Mission Road. Investigators say the victim was a passenger in the car.  At the second crime scene, located just a few blocks from the crash, investigators found shell casings.

The Orlando Police Department is now handling the investigation and are trying to piece together what happened.

Officers are looking for a suspect but have not released any additional information.
