According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2016 BMW driven by the 27-year-old man from Saudi Arabia had pulled over to the shoulder of southbound I-95 in Brevard County because of a flat tire.

Then, just after 3:30 p.m., a box truck driven by Adrian Gonzalez Noda, 25, of Miami, struck the back of the BMW, continued across all of the southbound lanes and struck the barrier wall, troopers said.

The driver of the BMW was killed, and the passenger, a 31-year-old Saudi man, was seriously hurt and taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Noda incurred minor injuries and was taken to Palm Bay Hospital.

The crash is under investigation, and charges are pending against Noda.
