Weather in the north and mechanical issues with some planes were to blame for travel headaches on the day after Christmas.

Monitors at Orlando International Airport showed several delayed flights Monday.

News 13's Erin Murray said it didn't appear to be a specific airline having an issue -- like with Frontier Airlines last week -- but more across the board.

One couple said their daughter and granddaughter's plane was delayed for several hours.

"Maintenance with their flight," said Donna Gogo. "They were supposed to get out at 11 o'clock. They had plane issues. They had an hours delay. Then they were going to wait on a plane to be brought down out of Toronto."

With Christmas falling on a Sunday, most offices recognized Monday as the holiday.

So Tuesday could see even more traffic at the airport.
