Jarvis Madison, 58, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force after agents found him in Louisville. The arrest warrant was issued by the Indiana State Police.

The Sheriff’s Office does not have any local charges against Madison “at this time,” a news release said.

His wife, Rachael, 44, was staying with family near Ormond-by-the-Sea after leaving Indiana to distance herself from her estranged husband, deputies said.

Rachael has been missing since Sunday, Nov. 27. She was last seen leaving a home on Rivocean Drive on that afternoon, when she said she was going for a jog on the beach. She never returned, deputies said. She was last seen wearing a pair of men’s navy blue basketball shorts, a light-colored jacket and blue/black slip-on Skechers shoes. She had no money or cell phone with her when she left for her run.

A Volusia Sheriff’s Office report said that Jarvis Madison’s vehicle, which was the subject of a missing persons bulletin, had been located and impounded.

Deputies are still investigating Rachael’s disappearance.

Anyone with information is asked to call (386) 323-0151 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida at (888) 277-TIPS.
