A Seminole County grand jury issued an indictment Wednesday in the strangulation death of an Oviedo toddler.

  • Kristen DePasquale charged with 1st-degree murder, child abuse

  • DePasquale is being held at Seminole County Jail without bond

Kristen Marie DePasquale, 27, has been charged with first-degree premeditated murder and aggravated child abuse.

Investigators say DePasquale strangled her 1-year-old daughter at her Oviedo home on Nov. 10.

Assistant State Attorney Stacey Salmons presented evidence from witnesses to the jury before the indictment was returned.

DePasquale was arrested Nov. 14 and is being held at the Seminole County Jail without bond.
