For the second time in a week, Flagler County deputies are investigating the finding of human remains.

Deputies said Monday the medical examiner's office confirmed the remains were human. They were found in dunes about 1/2 mile north of Varn Park.
The find does not appear related to the discovery of human remains found in the southern part of Flagler County on Nov. 23, the Sheriff's Office said.
On that morning, a man looking for his crashed drone found the remains about 100 feet into woods behind his home on Ashford Lakes Drive in Ormond Beach. The medical examiner recovered those remains.
No other information on either find has been released.
