There are plenty of ways to catch Christmas lights across Florida. Here are three places Florida on a Tankful continues to enjoy each holiday season.
St. Augustine
National Geographic voted St. Augustine as one of the Top 10 places in the United States to see Christmas lights. Board a tram to take in the splendor and hop off to enjoy fresh cookies and cider. The city's Night of Lights event continues through the end of January.
Melbourne
The lights at the Space Coast Lightfest can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own car. The annual Boy Scouts of America fundraiser shines bright at Wickham Park in Melbourne. More than 3 million lights form classic scenes and make colorful displays through New Year's Eve.
Fort Myers
The man who takes credit for inventing the light bulb decorates. Thomas Edison's Florida estate keeps the lights on. Outside, enjoy the glow while all of the interior rooms are decorated for the season the way Mrs. Edison would have done in the early 1900s. Stroll the grounds before sunset and watch the sky be painted in shades of orange and purple from the backyard of the Edison Estate.
